​Lake Saif ul Malook:

Lake Saiful Muluk is a lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley near Naran. It is in the north east of Mansehra district of North West Frontier Province, Pakistan. At an altitude of 3,224 m (10,578 feet) above sea level. It is amongst one of the highest lakes in Pakistan. The water is spectacularly clear with a slight green tone. Water  pouring down into the lake comes from Malka Parbat.
Getting There
You can access the late through adventurous jeep ride on a 14 km long  road from Naran (which is accessible by a metalled road from Mansehra via Balakot and Kaghan) during the summer seasons. On foot, the trek from Naran to the lake takes about 4-6 hours.


Kalar Kahar Lake:

Kallar Kahar is a subdivision of Chakwal District in Punjab. It is famous for its natural gardens, peacocks and a salty lake.
The main attraction of the eastern Salt Range are the shrine of Saidan Shah at Choa Saidan Shah, the lake and shrine of Abdul Qadir Gilani at Kallar Kahar and the Hindu Temple Complex at Katas. Kallar Kahar is located at a distance of 135 km from Rawalpindi. The Temple of Shiva at Katas (10th century AD) and other temples around Katas are valuable pieces of architecture and history.

Rawal Lake :​

Rawal Lake located in the outskirts of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, is considered to be a  paradise on earth that one must not be miss.
Rawal Lake is an artificial reservoir in Pakistan that fullfills  the water demanids for the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. This artificial lake covers an area of 8.8 km². Rawal Lake is located within an isolated section of the Margalla Hills National Park.

Whether you’re interested in boating, sailing, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, finding a fantastic honeymoon destination, picnicking, hiking, or relaxing alone, or with family and friends at a place with a picturesque view, placid Rawal Lake has it all. Take a hike and see a panoramic view of the lake from Margallah and Murree hills.  This lovely lake is breathtaking. Flowering trees, beautiful blooms, and lush green grass adds exquisite scrutiny to  the lake.To the west of the lake is the Islamabad Club, which offers different sporting facilities.

Namal Lake:

Namal lake is a manmade lake that spreads over 5.5 sq km situated in Namal Valley of Mianwali ,Punjab. It was created when the Namal Dam was constructed in 1913. The attraction of the lake is it’s thousands of water fowl that have found refuge here including Russian ducks, and Siberian cranes. Many migratory birds also land here. There are agricultural areas on the northern and eastern side of the lake and mountains to the west and south.
Getting There
Namal Lake is accessible by Lahore-Islamabad M2 Motorway by taking the Balkasar interchange towards Mianwali.


​Khanpur Lake / Dam  :

Some 50 kilometers north-west of Islamabad, on the road from Taxila to Haripur, lies a lake so scenic and
awe-inspiring, that many visitors to it just cannot get enough of it. Fed from the waters of the Haro River, Khanpur Lake is an important source of water in the region for both consumption and irrigation purposes in the two adjoining provinces Punjab and North-West Frontier Province. It has also become a popular tourist destination where families and individuals can enjoy boating, go picnicking, take extended walks along the lakeshore or observe migratory birds in Winter.
How to get there
The attractive lake is 48 kilometers from Islamabad, on Taxila-Haripur Road less than  an hour drive from Pakistan's capital city Islamabad. The dam was named after the former Khanpur village.  A new Khanpur town is located  in downstream of the Dam.


Simli Lake :

The beautiful Simli lake is fed by the melting snow and natural springs. The water stored from the lake is supplied to Islamabad for drinking purposes.
How to get there
Simli Lake is located approximately 30 km from Islamabad in the Murree Hills.  Simli Lake and Dam can be reached via Lehtrar road or via Bhara Kahu.

​Rama Lake :

Nine kilometers away from the beautiful valley of Astore in Northern Area is Rama Lake. Alpine Forests surrounds this lovely lake in the wilderness. The area has many Treks for hikers and some routes are ideal for a jeep safari.
PTDC’s newly constructed Motel at Rama Lake is a welcome addition as an important tourist resort. By virtue of its peculiar location it conveniently serves as a base camp for trekkers and mountaineerers intending to scale the mighty heights of Nanga Parbat.

​Satpara Lake  :

Satpara Lake is one of the largest fresh water lakes in the country offering trout fishing, and row boating. 
​How to get there

The lake is 9 kilometers from Skardu, capital city of Baltistan, and takes about 20 minutes by jeep to reach. Another one hour drive by jeep will take you up to an altitude of 16,000 feet and finally to the second largest plateau in the world, popularly known as Deosai Plain.

Bagshar Lake:

  Bagshar Lake is an ideal tourist resort in the Samhani valley of  Mirpur district.
Getting There
The crystal clear lake can be reached after taking a 60 km journey on the Old Mughal Road from Gujrat via Bhimber.  By taking the Old Mughal Road onwards you will be traveling the same road that was traveled by Mughal Emperors eventually taking you to Kashmir.

​Haliji Lake:

  Haliji Lake is a paradise for bird-watchers and is the largest bird sanctuary in Pakistan. Every winter thousands of migratory birds come from as far as Siberia to this location to find refuge.

Kachura Lake:

Kachura Lake is famous for its deep blue waters.There are numerous  places to visit and things to do near Kachura Lake, situated near Skardu in the northern area. Visit the Shigar, Kherpachuo Fort, and Satpara Lake close by. Brown trout fishing can’t get better then this making Kachura Lake an anglers delight. Don’t forget to visit the Deosai plains and have an experience of a lifetime.

​Mohodand Lake :

Lake Mahodand is known as the lake of fish, located approximately 30 km from Kalam.There are restaurants near the lake and boats for rent and a nice PTDC resort located in Kalam. Another attraction in the area is the ‘Spring of Healing’ where people come from around the world to bath in the water that is said to have healing properties.It takes around 2 hours or a little less to reach there. The best time to visit is in the spring or in June because by late July the glaciers are fully melted and lakes evaporate. Fishing permits can be obtained at the PTDC resort in Kalam.

​Karomber Lake  :

Karomber Lake is the only lake in the world that is at an altitude above 14,000 feet above sea level. The lake is fed by the surrounding mountain glaziers that melt in the summer. A nice time to visit is at the end of summer when the scenery is spectacular. Reddish wild flowers, lush green grass, and mountains surround the reflective lake that is spell bounding. Lake of Karomber borders regions of Chitral with Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan.

​Khabikki Lake  :

Khabikki Lake is a salt water lake located in the southern most part of Pakistan’s Salt Range. This lake is formed due to the absence of drainage in the range. At one time the water was brackish but now the water has less salinity.A Chinese breed of fish introduced to Khabikki Lake is thriving. Khabikki is also the name of a neighboring village.There are boats for rent and a nice rest house to stay at beside the lake. On the right side of the lake is a gradually ascending hill with lush greenery surrounding the whole area.

​Lulusar Lake  :

Lulusar Lake is 48 km from the Naran Valley on the Naran Babusar Road, in the Northwestern Frontier Province.
The Naran-Babusar Road is one of the highest roads in the world taking travelers through Babusar Pass and onto Gilgit. The name Lulusar is derived from the word ‘sar’ meaning ‘lake’.
